Healthcare Insights (HCI) is committed to maintaining the privacy and security of any confidential or non-public information provided to us by customers. Through this privacy statement, HCI intends to assure all of its customers and stakeholders of our commitment to privacy and security.


The underpinning of our information privacy policy is the concept of fair information practices. This means that HCI will provide stakeholders with advance notice of how HCI manages information so that they will better understand our philosophy with respect to information privacy.


This statement describing our information privacy policy is intended to inform our customers about how we collect, use, share and protect their information on HCI websites and within the INSIGHTS solution. HCI has established and distributed to all of its owners, employees, and customers the following statement of principles that govern our information practices:


If we collect information from or about you, we will tell you what information is being collected, how, by whom, and for what purposes.


We will give you options about how any personal, confidential or non-public information that you provide us may be used.


We use industry-standard safeguards to protect customer personal information from unauthorized access or use.


You will have the opportunity to update any personal information that you have provided to us. We will also take steps to make sure that any updates that are provided are processed in a timely and complete manner.


We will make information available describing how you can contact us regarding our privacy statement and practices.


If there are third parties that obtain HCI data, we will require them to hold any non-public information confidential, and to use such information only for the purpose of fulfilling their business obligation. HCI does not sell customer information to third party marketers.


HCI has implemented programs to address the transaction standards, and the privacy and security implications of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 ("HIPAA") and its implementing regulations (45 CFR Parts 160-164) (the Privacy Rule).


HCI will protect confidential or non-public information stored on the HCI site's servers or in HCI possession from unauthorized access. HCI will use reasonably appropriate administrative, technical and physical safeguards in compliance with the HIPPA Privacy Rule to preserve the integrity and confidentiality of such data. HCI safeguards include commercially available computer security products (e.g., firewalls), as well as other security procedures and practices.
