The Value of Strategic Financial Planning in Healthcare Organizations
Course Description:
Strategic financial planning can and should play an integral part in any healthcare organization’s planning process. Although it appears that a greater number of organizations are adopting strategic financial planning methodologies, there are still a large number of organization that have not done so and…there are other organizations that have adopted techniques but are not using them effectively. This class has been developed to highlight the value of strategic financial planning to a wide variety of healthcare organizations through theory, practice and case study.
Learning Objectives Of The Class:
This class is designed to:
- Review various sources of capital available to providers according to ownership status
- Determine the importance of maintaining capital within healthcare organizations
- Explore the elements of a strategic financial plan and why it is integral to the maintenance of capital for providers of care
- Indicate how the strategic financial plan should be used to enhance the organization’s operating and capital budget process
Who Should Attend:
Any senior manager, director or manager from an organization that does not already perform strategic financial management in their organization. Also, any financial or operational manager looking to develop a higher level of understanding of the strategic financial planning process.
Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Information:
This 100-minute course qualifies for 2 hours of CPE Credits. The presenter is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors.
