Gaining Insight and Improving Key Hospital Processes—Revenue Cycle and Supply Chain Management
Course Description
When financial statements are published, the final numbers are the result of several underlying management processes that have dramatic effect on their outcomes. Two of these processes are Revenue Cycle Management and Supply Chain Management. Each of these management processes involve dozens of detailed steps, each of which can lead to efficient and effective outcomes, or inefficiency and poor results for the hospital. Each step will have some impact on several financial statement line items, such as cash, accounts receivable, inventory, property plant and equipment on the balance sheet and gross and net revenues, supply expenses, charity and bad debt expenses on the statement of operations.
