As a follow-up to the basic Healthcare Financial Management for the Non-financial manager, this class is designed to delve deeper into those areas that generate greater management oversight. There are also some very practical tools and techniques offered that allow the organization to move a step ahead in their desire to improve their financial outcomes.

This class is designed to:
  • Provide an understanding of organizational financial requirements, including
  • Information power of financial statements
  • Value of ratio analysis
  • Highlight the strength of strategic financial planning to the organization
  • Review cost management concepts
  • Discuss new and important bottom line concepts, such as
    • Ambulatory payment classification (APC)
    • HIPAA ’96 regulation and their significant effect on healthcare finance
    • New concepts in fraud and abuse and tax-exempt laws and regulation

Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Information
This three-hour course qualifies for 3.0 hours of CPE Credits. The presenter is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit.
